Description: Lovers of the instrument will enjoy this recording of the first ever replica of a Savary classical bassoon in which it shows its mettle in a pair of operatic fantasies as well as the still somewhat-neglected Beethoven (a good-sized 26-minute piece from his late teenage years) and the only available recording of the three-movement, 17-minute Reicha duo. Lyndon Watts (bassoon after 1823 Savary), Edoardo Torbianelli (c.1840 Rosenberger fortepiano), Marion Treupel-Franck (after c. 1810 Grenser flute - Beethoven).
