Description: Late Fuchs, rarely recorded, flowing on streams of late Romantic melody, very Brahmsian mostly but also with increasingly complex harmonies and frequent use of modulation in what would later be called “post-Romanticism”. The notes make an interesting case for Fuchs being a harbinger of the latter via influences he may have had on students such as Mahler, Korngold, Schmidt, Zemlinsky, Schreker, Sibelius and Wolf. Giulio Plotino (violin), Claudio Cavalletti (viola), Enrico Maria Polimanti (piano).
