FERDINAND REBAY (1880-1953): Sonatas for Violin and Guitar in E Minor and C Minor, Sonata for Viola and Guitar in D Minor.

Description: The violin sonatas here date from 1942 while the viola sonata is undated but has to be no earlier than 1925 when Rebay began taking up the guitar. As we noted on Rebay’s first appearance on disc, he is in a direct line from Brahms and Joseph Fuchs in his autumnal quality and conservative style.
