Description: Probably the first recording of the original version of the Symphony No. 1 (Oehms Classics released one with the rest of the sonatas back in October of 2006). Bax rewrote the second movement for orchestra and orchestrated the outer ones, so there is new music here and the volcanic energy of the first and third have an impact all their own when heard in this medium and with this pianist.
