Description: Koffler was the only composer in Poland for a long time who used Schoenbergian dodecaphony but, as in these two works from 1928 and 1931, he mixed it with expressionist and neo-classical styles. Regamey's quintet (1942-44) is a later Polish twelve-tone work but also a highly individual employment of the technique which allows for blendings of neo-classical and other styles to, making it more than approachable even to less adventurous collectors of 20th century chamber music. German texts. Members of the Ebony Band; Werner Herbers.
