Description: Just under an hour's worth of unhackneyed Brazilian music from several generations of composers, all of it tonal, all of it except for the somewhat generic Nepomuceno works (which sound a bit like light/salon music) pretty flavorful. In the latter regard, the most piquant are Aguiar's Momentos, a suite of four folk-inspired movements none of which is longer than 2:23 and Cunha's Paisagens which have quite explicit musical and geographical sources in their titles, two of which have an almost rock-music-like energy. Fernanda Krug (violin), Capella Bydgostiensis; José Maria Florêncio.
