Description: Several of the Opp. 43 and 47 pieces were recorded by the short-lived Delta Classics label five years ago, the former a pedagogical set and the latter concert-hall material. Here we get the full sets of both as well as another cycle in the “music about children” genre, all in Gliere’s characteristic conservative Russian Romantic voice. Alton Chan (piano).
