Description: Possibly dating from 1701, this is one of ten surviving stage works by Durón whose subject is the Gigantomachy of Greek mythology. Formally it straddles the genres of dramma per musica and the Spanish Ópera escénica and the notes detail the composer’s originality and openness to modernity. No libretto.
