Description: Last month's Profil release of this puppet-opera lasted just over 42 minutes but this one is just under an hour. Why? All the dialogue is included here, so the work is more complete, and several additional orchestral intermezzi and dances are included (not by Haydn since his do not survive but there is music by Anon., Gluck, Ordoñez and two pieces attributed to Haydn). Collectors of Huss' Haydn series, now revived and extended with new recordings like this one, will probably want to have both. German-English texts.
