Description: The only real rarity here is the pair of Schumann etudes which the 24-year-old Tchaikovsky orchestrated while still at the St. Petersburg Conservatory (and there aren't many other recordings of the trenchant, single-movement Pfitzner symphony from 1940). Seattle Symphony;  Gerard Schwarz. Original Delos releases except Pfitzner (new to CD).
