Description: The lovely and lyrical 16-minute late Romantic sonata by the Pomeranian organist Grabert is a happy find by the Japanese oboist here (doing his impression of Lajos Lencés?). The 11-minute Fantasia by an Italian conductor and composer is high quality salon music while the other sonata on the disc, a 14-minute work by a Canadian pianist and bassoonist has outer movements influence by bebop jazz sandwiching a slow movement tinged by British folk music. Katsuya Watanabe (oboe), Arisa Kobayashi (piano).
