Description: A third volume of Tertis' transcriptions (one on Dutton Epoch and another on Naxos with different artists) with the first recording of the Ireland violin sonata and a useful separate note from the violist showing us why the large viola used here (which was Tertis' own two generations ago) really creates some marvellous sounds in the cello sonata due to the adaptability of the cello part to, especially, the big instrument's C string.
