Description: No, it's not over yet. Here is a movement from one of Collins' six violin sonatas, none of which survive intact and two big (around 13 minutes each) variations sets from his mature years (the 30s and 40s) the first of which also had to be pasted together from several different and differing sources. The Valses are from an undatable tape made by pianist William Browning (1924-1997) which was painstakingly restored for a 1999 private issue of the pianist's existing recordings. Excellent examples of the genre.
