Description: Krufft's sonata is well-represented in the catalogue these days but the team-composed one is new to CD. Leidesdorf is the same Leidesdorf who founded the publishing company with Ignaz Sauer after studying under Albrechtsberger and having a career as pianist and guitarist. Bellonci was a horn-player and apparently worked on his own in improving horn design. Presumably he advised Leidesdorf on what contemporary horns were capable of. The longest piece here, it is notable for a second movement funeral march and a fun Rondo pastorale finale. Anneke Scott (horn), Kathryn Cok (fortepiano).
