Description: Im Walde, the largest work here, is a six-movement suite of Romantic character pieces in Schumannian style which use practically all of the stereotypes of romantic forest music (hunting horns, dancing gnomes, festival dances, etc.) to delightful effect. Apart from the concerto and the remaining salon-style pieces while the 1894 Hungarian Rhapsody is the most lively and virtuosic piece.
