LUIGI BOCCHERINI (1743-1805): Divertimenti, Vol. 2 - Op. 16, Nos. 1, 4 & 6 (G. 461, 464 & 466).
Catalogue Number: 12N031
Reference: ACC 24246
Description: These works for string quintet (two cellos), flute and double bass date from 1773. Passages for first violin and flute marked solo in the manuscript suggest that Boccherini may have later hoped to issue them in an orchestral edition and, unlike the longer Divertimenti of the 1770s by Haydn and Mozart, these are four movements, placing them in the Classical symphonic style. Piccolo Concerto Wien; Roberto Sensi.
