Description: Weiss, Alsatian by birth, was a member of the important London music scene from 1767-1783 where he knew and played with J.C. Bach, Abel, the Cramers, Duport, Salomon and others. Everything here but the brief "solos" (which are modern transcriptions of late 1790s Preludes for various instrumental combinations) comes from those fruitful London years and fit stylistically with the composers mentioned above. Antichi Strumenti.
