Description: Olaf Trygvason (1873) was to have been a Norwegian national opera but was left unfinished except for these three scenes (lasting well over half an hour) which deal with pagan rituals and tributes to the Norse gods. This is the only budget-priced recording and the only one not in a multi-disc box-set. Land-Sighting of 1872 comes from Trygvason's story although is separate from the opera.
