Description: Chronologically this release follows the "decadence" of popular dance forms from Reger's early set of walzes (one of his written-for-money jobs) to the in-your-face Dadaist irony and absurdity of Schulhoff's 1920 set of provocations based on popular music of the time, to the obscure American composer resident in Germany and France, Sherwood, whose 19-minute piece of 1981 may be Allegro-Scherzo-Aria-Rondo in print but which contains various amounts and mixtures of jazz, blues, Bach, Beethoven and boogie-woogie. Matthias Veit, Henning Lucius (piano four hands).
