Description: Noskowski wrote predominantly salon-style piano music and tended to write suites of pieces meant to be performed in sequence. Thus, as in the op. 14, a gloomy and unsettled L’inquitude is followed by a calm Consolation and an equally angst-ridden Resignation closes what has the feel of a narrative. The last three of these compositions as listed above work in that manner while the Cracoviennes of 1878 return to the salon-ethnic-dance genre so popular in that period. Anna Mikolon (piano).
