Description: This pastorale-heroïque of 1697, concerning the desire of Apollo for the shepherdess Issé, is heard here in its expanded 1724 version which added extended and enriched choruses and a more ornate style for many of the airs taking account of the rising popularity of the cantata in the first decades of the 18th century. 2 CDs.
